I’m always intrigued with what Brian Clark over at Copyblogger is up to. Last year I joined his Teaching Sells program and watched with amazement as it took off to become a vibrant online learning community. I cite it often as a case study. Now I’ve become interested in one of Brian’s more recent projects: the Thesis theme for WordPress.
I’ve decided to give Thesis a try here at Hedgehog & Fox, as I have been thinking for some time that I want to revamp the site. I focus a good bit on search engine optimization with my clients, so I like that Thesis is designed to be as search engine friendly as possible right out of the box. I also like that its designer, Chris Pearson, seems to have gone to great lengths to separate presentation of Thesis sites from the underlying WordPress engine – even more so than most other themes.
Now, in the past, I have usually done all of my behind-the-scenes structuring and branding work before launching a new version of a site. In this case, though, I decided that Thesis looked quite good out of the box and that it might be interesting for regular visitors to see how things evolve over the next few weeks. If you are interested in learning more, I encourage you to check out the Thesis demo and read the testimonials.
So, welcome to the new Thesis theme-driven version of the Hedgehog & Fox blog. Stay tuned for its evolution.
