A frequent speaker to business and association audiences, Jeff is an expert on how people learn as well as on the dramatic transformation underway in the global market for lifelong learning. He consults with major trade and professional associations as well as other market-facing education organizations through his firm Tagoras. Jeff is the author of Leading the Learning Revolution: The Expert’s Guide to Capitalizing on the Exploding Market for Lifelong Education (Amacom, 2013) and of Shift Ed: A Call to Action for Transforming K-12 Education (Corwin, 2012).

Jeff Cobb is founder and managing director of Tagoras, a consulting firm specializing in digital strategies to engage, educate, and retain customers and members. At Tagoras, Jeff has authored multiple comprehensive research reports on technology and learning, including Association Virtual Conferences and Association E-learning: State of the Sector. He is also a professional speaker, writer, and educator who focuses on the impact of technology on business, education, and society in general.
Cobb began his career as a researcher and educator and went on to help launch and grow multiple education companies. In 2001, he left his position as Sr. Vice President of Business Development at Quisic, an e-learning content partner to top 25 business schools, to found Isoph, a company that quickly established itself as the leading provider of e-learning services to trade and professional associations. Cobb sold Isoph to LearnSomething in 2005 and served as that company’s Vice President of Business Development before departing to start Tagoras in 2008.
Jeff has served on the Professional Development Council of the American Society of Association Executives as well as on the advisory board for Philantech, provider of the PhilanTrack™ online grant proposal, reporting, and management system. He has previously served on the research committee of the eLearning Guild and the editorial board of Innovate, a leading resource for information about technology and education.
Cobb earned his M.A. in comparative literature from the University of North Carolina, where he was also an award-winning teacher. He has a B.A. in English from the University of Virginia, where he also studied at the McIntire School of Commerce.
