Writing

Jeff writes in a variety of venues about the social and economic impact of new technologies. A key focus of his work is one the demands a hyper-connected, “flat” world creates for effective lifelong learners. As individuals, organizations, and societies, we must be prepared to reinvent ourselves multiple times throughout our continually increasing lifespans. The only way to do this is to understand how to learn and re-learn rapidly and effectively. Some of Jeff’s writing projects include:

  • Learning 2.0 for Associations
A free eBook (rule of the new Web – always give away some of your content!) on the ways in which trade and professional associations can and are incorporating social media into their learning programs. The book briefly explores the evolution of learning; offers a range of examples to illustrate how tools like blogs, podcasts, wikis, and social networking sites can complement traditional learning activities; and suggests steps for moving forward in your organization.
  • Play for Change
An article in WE Magazine on serious games and the overall growth of video gaming as a tool not only for entertainment, but also for education, marketing, and social change.

Blogs

In addition to blogging on this site, Jeff also blogs at:

  • Tagoras Blog
The Tagoras blog focuses on strategies, tactics, and overall trends relevant to organizations that provide lifelong learning and continuing education experiences to members and customers.
