Web Tools
I’m in the process of determining how best to organize a resource page, but in the meantime, I’ll point to a page I posted for the Technology Showcase held by the Association Executives of North Carolina in April 2008. This page features a wealth of free or very low cost Web tools that can help you do everything from increasing your productivity to outfoxing (or out-hedgehogging?) your competition.
A few bonus items I’ll add here:
CamStudio
This is a free, open source alternative to the popular Camtasia Studio screen capture video tool, and here are a few ways you can use it:
- You can use it to create demonstration videos for any software program
- Or how about creating a set of videos answering your most frequently asked questions?
- You can create video tutorials for school or college class
- You can use it to record a recurring problem with your computer so you can show technical support people
- You can use it to create video-based information products you can sell
- You can even use it to record new tricks and techniques you discover on your favorite software program, before you forget them
And here’s a free tutorial on Using CamStudio to Record Video Tutorials
