The second annual Corporate Learning: Trends and Innovations conference will take place online from November 17-21, 2008. This is an event that is high on value, and low on cost. In fact, from an actual monetary standpoint, it’s free. You just have to free up enough time to participate.
Is it worth freeing up that time? In a word, yes. The people behind it — George Siemens, Jay Cross, and Tony Karrer — represent some of the best thinking out there today on learning and the Web. Last year more than 2000 people showed up to join them.
And I’d encourage you not to view this as purely a professional development conference, if that is not your area of specialty (or even if it is). “Learning” in this context - and on the Web in general - extends well beyond traditional views about education and professional development. It is at the heart of so many of the connections that people form and is the basis for much of the value that people derive from the Web. In short, there is much here for anyone - marketers, senior leaders, customer and member service managers, to name a few.
Find out more on the conference Web site at http://www.learntrends.com. I hope to see you there.
